Invited Attendees
Wi-Fi Alliance members

Wi-Fi Alliance is hosting another Interoperability Event focused on device roaming behavior, including roaming between:

  • Residential and enterprise environments
  • Different Generational Wi-Fi networks
  • Common Wi-Fi frequency bands (2.4, 5, and 6 GHz)
  • Networks with different security configurations
  • Networks with different roam-triggering mechanisms or other optional features that are critical for ensuring robust, secure, and optimal user experiences

Members will be able to see how their devices are likely to behave in “real-world” scenarios outside of certification testing environments.  Members will also have an opportunity to revisit issues identified in the previous roaming Interoperability Event.

In addition, Wi-Fi Alliance will make more than 50 devices currently used in residential deployments available to event participants attending the event at the RDL in Santa Clara. Participants there will have an opportunity to test with these devices, in addition to the devices brought by other members, expanding the variety of testing and contributing to a more robust performance evaluation.

This event is open to Wi-Fi Alliance members, including AP and STA vendors bringing devices to test, OS vendors, test equipment vendors, and Operators attending to observe or contribute to the test scenarios.
