Since March of 2000, the Wi-Fi Alliance has has completed more than 15,000 product certifications - and that number grows daily as more than 500 members continue placing their products in one of 16 independent authorized test labs worldwide. With such product certifications comes peace of mind. Being a part of the Alliance and participating in our interoperability programs and market development efforts means that you and your customers can be assured of the very best experience with Wi-Fi products and services.

When your application is accepted by our Board of Directors, a Wi-Fi Alliance staff member will send you a notice and invoice via email, generally within 10 business days. Your membership will be activated once full payment is received. For existing members, we bill annually in advance of each calendar year and all dues are payable by December 31.
Regular Membership
Annual dues are US$15,000. For new members who join at times other than the beginning of the year, the Wi-Fi Alliance prorates member dues on a quarterly basis. The prorated dues for Regular members are as follows: join on or after April 1 for US$11,250, join on or after July 1 for US$7,500, join on or after October 1 for US$3,750 (prorated membership dues apply to new members only).
Affiliate Membership
We have additional good news about your member benefits. With your Regular membership, your affiliates can enjoy some of the benefits without the need to pay additional dues.
For your affiliated company to qualify for Affiliate membership, a Regular or Sponsor member company must directly or indirectly (1) control the affiliated company (2) be controlled by the affiliated company, or (3) be under common control with the affiliated company, meaning that the same nonmember company must control both the member company and the affiliated company. (Please refer to the Affiliate Membership Policy, for additional information about when a company is an “Affiliate” for purposes of Affiliate Membership.) Affiliate members have the same rights as Regular members, including the ability to certify products under their own company name, except that voting rights remain with the company that holds Regular or Sponsor membership in the Wi-Fi Alliance.
Adopter Membership
If your company would like to take advantage of the insight, networking and marketing opportunities available to Wi-Fi Alliance members, but you don’t have a need to certify Wi-Fi products, then Adopter membership is an ideal option.
Annual dues for Adopter membership are US$5,000. For new members who join at times other than the beginning of the year, the Wi-Fi Alliance prorates member dues on a half-year basis. The dues for Adopter members that join on or after July 1 are US$2,500 (prorated membership dues apply to new members only).
Existing members who allow their membership to lapse through non-payment of dues are required to pay the full year's dues in the year their membership lapses in order to reinstate membership. After the initial year, former members are regarded as new members for purposes of dues and will be entitled to prorated dues on this basis.
