Marketing Communications Manager (Austin, TX)
Job Description
The Wi-Fi Alliance is seeking a marketing communications manager to drive a wide variety of activities including marketing communications, interactive outreach, public relations, branding, and program launch activities for industry-driving trade association. Reports to Marketing and Program Management Director.
Duties
- Manage communications launch activities of industry-wide testing and validation programs for variety of target markets and applications
- Support global PR program with positioning/messaging, press releases, media presentations, etc.
- Manage PR agency vendor and other vendor relationships
- Define, collect and report business results from communications activities
- Work with subject matter experts to develop and edit industry white papers
- Coordinate speakers bureau, securing speaking engagements, identifying and preparing speakers, and maintaining presentation materials
- Develop content and strategy for interactive marketing (web content, e-newsletters, social media, etc.)
- Support member-driven and member-focused activities (member meetings and events) and marketing initiatives (program launches, trade shows, etc.)
- Support trademark defense and development activities for worldwide portfolio of brands
- Maintain communications style guide
- Work with member company representatives to deepen participation and engage marketing and branding resources in Wi-Fi Alliance activities and identify opportunities for collaboration
Experience
- 3-5 years directly-applicable experience in high-tech marketing communications
- PR agency experience a plus
- International communications experience a plus

Education
- Marketing/business or communications degree
