Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Figueroa

Under Edgar's leadership the Wi-Fi Alliance has led an unprecedented period of market growth.  Edgar defined the Wi-Fi Alliance program development framework, and forged a number of partnerships and programs to facilitate the penetration of Wi-Fi into mass markets.

Previously, Edgar was involved in telepresence product strategy at Ridgeway Systems (now Tandberg).  He also held product management and engineering roles at 3M Company. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, and has taught at the University of Texas and at Austin Community College. 

Edgar is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Masters in Technology Commercialization, and undergraduate degrees with honors in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. 

 

Marketing Director, Kelly Davis-Felner

As Marketing Director, Kelly oversees branding, communications, market development, member recruitment and retention, market research, and global public relations for the organization. She also holds responsibility for driving the development of the Wi-Fi Alliance corporate strategy.

Kelly has spoken worldwide about Wi-Fi's impact on applications, devices, and users. She is charged with promoting the technology worldwide and travels extensively as one of its leading ambassadors.

Before joining the Wi-Fi Alliance in 2004, Kelly enjoyed roles in consumer and business marketing, as well as in non-profit management. Kelly holds a BA in Communications from Loyola University of New Orleans, a Masters in Social Work from Tulane University, and a MBA from The University of Texas at Austin. She lives with her family in Austin, Texas.

 

Technical Director, Greg Ennis

Greg has been active in the Wireless LAN industry since 1992. He was one of the original developers of the MAC protocol proposal that IEEE 802.11 adopted in 1993 as the foundation for the standard, and subsequently served as Technical Editor for the initial 802.11 specification. He has served as Technical Director of the Wi-Fi Alliance since the founding of the organization in 1999. Previously he served as chair of the IEEE 802.3 Broadband CSMA/CD Task Group, and has held development and engineering management positions at various companies in the communications industry. He has a Masters in Computer Engineering from Stanford University, and a Masters in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin.

 

Operations Director, Tom Sciorilli

Tom Sciorilli is responsible for managing certification test program operations, including oversight of the Santa Clara development lab, and the Authorized Test Laboratory network. 

He is a 17-year veteran of the electronics industry, having held prior roles in manufacturing, product engineering and technical program management at Intel and Marvell Semiconductor. 

His experience spans microprocessors, memories and wireless devices.  He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University.
