Membership Coordinator (Austin, TX)

Wi-Fi Alliance seeks a Membership Coordinator to support ongoing member recruitment and retention initiatives as well as completing recurring business management tasks.  The Membership Coordinator reports to the Sr. Manager of Member Success.  He/she will work with the best technical and marketing talent in Wi-Fi Alliance member companies, driving industry-visible efforts that support the mission of connecting everyone and everything, everywhere.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Managing and troubleshooting Salesforce cases, resolving those associated with membership and routing other cases as needed to the appropriate staff members
  • Learn where information and resources are housed on our websites
  • Membership Management:
    • Managing communication of information to prospective members, answering inquiries
    • Qualifying new member prospects: researching company information, conveying information to the Board of Directors for approval
    • Processing membership applications, loading company logos
    • Obtaining signed agreements and uploading to Salesforce
    • Creating membership dues invoices
    • Activating new memberships in Salesforce
  • Obtaining and processing Affiliate membership confirmations
  • Processing and reactivating suspended and past memberships
  • Providing recurring reports to the Board of Directors
  • Maintaining the membership pipeline
  • Preparing new member logo slides for member meetings
  • Completing special projects as assigned- i.e. creating reports in Salesforce, performing membership renewal cycle tasks
  • Collaborating with membership manager on process improvements
  • Maintaining Salesforce database and Causeway (company and contact) records
  • Auditing logos for accuracy on membership website page
  • Learning and adhering to Wi-Fi Alliance policies and procedures

  • Personal accountability and ownership of duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business correspondence, policies and procedural manuals provided in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely, actively listen to others, ask questions to verify understanding, and use tact and consideration when delivering information and feedback
  • Ability to communicate well with Members and Staff across different cultures
  • Comfortable working alone
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Salesforce CRM required previous experience with Causeway document repository a plus
  • 5 years of administrative support experience in an office setting
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work 40 hours weekly
