Wi-Fi Alliance seeks an energetic Program Manager to be responsible for a diverse mix of activities, including managing a diverse mix of initiatives primarily focused on launching and sustaining Wi-Fi product certification programs.  He/she will work with the best technical and marketing talent in Wi-Fi Alliance member companies, driving industry-visible efforts that support the mission of connecting everyone and everything, everywhere.

Core Responsibilities
Working in a complex team environment, program manage the next generation of Wireless Communications development:

  • Coordinate development of Wi-Fi Alliance certification programs
  • Manage program development communications with Wi-Fi Alliance staff, board, and members
  • Provide communication to stakeholders at different levels in relevant terms
  • Establish cohesion among member companies to achieve program goals
  • Provide assistance for certification customers and partners
  • Analyze and coordinate certification requests
  • Analyze and report Wi-Fi product certification dataManage relationships with third party vendors and worldwide testing laboratories
  • Maintenance and evolution certification policies and processes
  • Administer technical projects focused on deployment of new Wi-Fi certification programs
  • Support international membership needs in a timely manner
  • Provide program updates to customers, management, and executive teams
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Experience
Three years of project management experience
Positive track record in successful relationships with customers and vendors
Technical experience with Wi-Fi or other wireless technologies is a plus

Skills and Behaviors
Highly proficient with MS-Office and web applications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, demonstrated proficiency in addressing international audiences
Aptitude for deeper learning in technical areas
Proven success working in dispersed, cross-functional, and international (time-shifted) teams
Technical experience with Wi-Fi or other hardware or software products is a plus
Positive track record in successful relationships with customers and vendors
Software program management is a plus

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
PMP certification a strong plus
