Wi-Fi Alliance® applauds RAY BAUM Act

Austin, TX and Washington D.C. – March 6, 2018 – Wi-Fi Alliance® congratulates the House of Representatives on the passage of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reauthorization bill, known as the RAY BAUM Act (The Act). The Act includes important provisions from the Senate-passed Mobile Now Act, including identification of additional spectrum for unlicensed use, and recognizes the importance of Wi-Fi® in delivering 5G connectivity to all Americans. These provisions will help ensure U.S. leadership in wireless innovation as we advance into an era of next generation connectivity.  Wi-Fi Alliance applauds the bipartisan effort on this legislation and looks forward to its enactment into law.
