Wi-Fi Alliance® promotes Alex Roytblat to Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs

Wi-Fi Alliance continues advancement and influence in global regulatory efforts

Austin, Texas and Washington D.C. — September 15, 2020—Wi-Fi Alliance® announces Alex Roytblat’s promotion to Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs. In this role, Roytblat will continue to grow Wi-Fi Alliance’s global voice as the predominant regulatory policy advocate for Wi-Fi®.

Roytblat joined Wi-Fi Alliance in 2016, after two decades at the Federal Communications Commission, in a newly created role of Senior Director of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs. Since then, Wi-Fi Alliance’s regulatory profile has increased, and the organization has expanded worldwide advocacy for issues directly impacting the future of Wi-Fi. Notable Wi-Fi Alliance successes under Roytblat’s leadership include favorable regulatory decisions in many countries and among international organizations, including access to 6 GHz unlicensed spectrum. Roytblat is instrumental in coordinating regulatory efforts among Wi-Fi Alliance members, and serves as a subject matter expert on regulatory issues to the benefit of the entire Wi-Fi industry.
