Ofcom brings Wi-Fi® into 6 GHz

UK regulator, Ofcom, will make the lower 6 GHz band available for Wi-Fi

Austin, Texas – July 24, 2020 – Wi-Fi Alliance® welcomes the decision by UK communications regulator, Ofcom, to allow Wi-Fi® operations in the 5925-6425 MHz (or 6 GHz) band. This decision demonstrates Ofcom’s recognition of the growing reliance on Wi-Fi by consumers and businesses across the UK, and will deliver additional spectrum capacity to address increasing user demand and ignite future innovation.
