Wi-Fi Alliance® statement on conditional approval of the 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination system operators

Austin, TX – November 2, 2022 – We commend Chairwoman Rosenworcel and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on today’s action to conditionally approve the 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) system operators. This is an important step in the process to authorize 6 GHz standard power unlicensed operations, which will unlock the full potential of Wi-Fi 6E and future Wi-Fi® generations. Wi-Fi Alliance is committed to continued support of this process with the goal of boosting innovation, connectivity, and the socioeconomic benefits across America.
