Wi-Fi Alliance® AFC specifications and tools streamline standard power device compliance in Canada

Austin, TX – April 23, 2024 – In the ongoing effort to enable a robust Wi-Fi® ecosystem, Wi-Fi Alliance® successfully enhanced its Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) Device (DUT) Compliance Test Plan and AFC DUT Test Harness Tool for 6 GHz standard power devices to comply with the Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada’s Radio Standards Specification (RSS-248)Radio Standards Specification RSS-248. This update streamlines the regulatory approval process for 6 GHz standard power devices in Canada and underscores Wi-Fi Alliance’s commitment to maximizing unlicensed spectrum availability and delivering wireless connectivity to the Canadian consumers and enterprises.
